Win 10 Questions

A month ago I got a new toshiba sat. with 8 GB RAM, 64 Bit, good machine. Just using Windows Defender, no other system changing software. I also play online farmville. At first everything was absolutely great, lightning fast, no crashes, perfect, using Chrome. Slowly progressed to the point I can usually not even get on and if I do, it crashes. Have tried reinstalling Chrome, both 32 and 64 bit, changing chrome profile, using opera, MS Edge, restoring system to week ago, different settings in chrome and flash, basically every last damned tweak I can think of. Now, my old Win 7 maching still good, and able to access game and everything else with no problems.
I am becoming convinced there is something inherently going screwy with the Win 10 OS, but I can't think of anything else to try. My next step will be setting the entire computer back to a new install from the recovery partition. As I said, the first 3 weeks or so it was fantastic. Am certain there are no infections, my browsing is mundane and I don't download anything even close to questionable and Defender scans have show zip.
Is there some other magic tweak that has worked for peeps that I don't know about. Getting fed up with this new OS right now!

 

Unfortunately, in Win 10 you can't change that. But if he got the drivers from Toshiba, he could roll back.

It could also be the firewall.

There is a more complicated Group Policy edit, for home and pro. In Enterprise editions where is has a GUI.
