Question. I downloaded an .iso on a disk a while back, and installed it on an older computer to see if it worked, it did, will upgrading from Win. 7 directly to Win. 10 be as efficient as going thru the process of upgrading to Win.8.1 and the to Win 10 or upgrade directly from Win. 7? T.I.A.

If you want to go the upgrade route rather than a clean install then you might as well go straight for 10. However if you are hoping to use the ISO again you have missed the boat as it won't activate now. You would have to purchase a new Win 10 licence.

And the prices are $119US for Win 10 Core and $199US for Win 10 Pro. But, as Earthling said, the free upgrade ended July 29th.
