    Hi Tim
I've been using Windows 11 for a year and a half. I honestly haven't noticed any differences.

That really depends on what type of user you are, if you venture beyond the desktop and start menu, you might be in for a bad time. Stuff is gone or buried, that is why there are so many mods. I mean why can't you just right click and "send to desktop" anymore?
The very first I can't live without on Win 11 is explorer patcher!! It at least makes it somewhat tolerable, then a start menu replacement. At work we went to 11 and it is not fun, but you still can get to some of the old menus via commands like shell or the old cpl file is still there, so far.
That being said I have built a new PC and having to really consider installing Win 11, but at home I just play games and use a browser most of the time, so I think I can deal.
There is a third party offering to cover Win 10 for a bit longer, but might have to bite the bullet and hope that 12 is better, right? The Windows releases are like Star Trek movies, every other one is good. ;)

Well, I've got a PC which has been back to "Ye Olde Shoppe" repeatedly with W11. The nice young man who uses it games with Steam, Epyc, and he likes Fortnite. He'll download and install a game, and the OS drops into a repair loop. It's ridiculous. If it happens again, I'm downgrading the system to W10 until EOL.

Disable or uninstall Copilot, Onedrive and whatever else you find unnecessary. Go into the settings and turn off all of the nagging notifications.

Other than that it's been a solid OS in my opinion.

I've made my assessment. Windows 11 is effing trash.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so aggressive and act like I made a personal attack. You should know our opinions are based on personal perspectives.

I did not quote you. I did not address you. I did not engage you specifically. I'll skip tolerating your ego. My post is NOT ABOUT YOU. Thanks...

Windows 11 Home has been pretty solid on my ASUS laptop. Is it my favorite OS from Redmond? No, but that one is long dead, and Windows 10 is set to expire, so what are you gonna do? Wait and hope that Windows 12 was worth the wait, or switch to Linux or Apple?

Drop $1100 on a system board, CPU, and RAM to upgrade the old rig so we can use Windows 11 when 10 does expire. Definitely modding the shell. I've nearly always had no problem using the next best version of Windows since 3.1, other than WME (came with the machine) eating HDDs and skipping 8 mostly because of the shell. UGH. W11 even does wonky things on the security system software at work. It just decides to switch out of full screen, minimizes the full screen, thusly showing one third of the desktop by shrinking the size of the camera feeds. Then, we have to restart the software and log back in. Worked just fine with W10 on the old upgraded W7 machine which was replaced. I've never experienced so many annoyances with previous Windows kernels, like the OS crashing into a repair loop when installing legit games. Definitely not trying to workaround hardware restrictions to dual boot on the current rig for a test drive. Definitely disappointed with 11 thus far. But, there's just shy of a year to go for improvements...
