Win 7 full admin rights issue

Hi,
I have been trying to manage to get full admin right with this new laptop, something which I have previously done on other laptops but its not happening for me this time.

Laptop is running with Win 7 home premium. So far I have added the "net user administration /active:yes" through cmd command, which it created a new user when logging in after starting the laptop. From there I gave full admin to this user (me) but I am still experiencing limited rights to work with Windows like when I want to download a file and place in c:/ it doesn't allow me, but its possible to keep it in documents or music or pictures folder. Also when pointing to download a file in documents, it places it on my desktop and in documents folder.

Is there any other way that I can get the full admin rights on this laptop.

By default, Windows 7 will not allow you to directly save things into system space. Your user account is the only place you should be able to save to and I certainly wouldn't recommend changing permissions to allow saving anywhere else.

By this I assume you are referring to the Documents library. For this to occur, the Desktop must be added to the Documents library and selected as the default save location.
Open the Start Menu, click on Documents and the Documents library will open. Up the top you'll see 'Includes: x locations'. Click on the 'x locations' and a window will open that allows you to configure how the library gathers its contents.

You can also right click on Documents, select properties and configure the library.
