    Hi,

    in the past few weeks I've been having problems with my OS post start up. It's only for about the first 10 minutes and then things seem to sort themselves out.
    Most apps (mainly internet connected ones from what I've observed) seem to lock into 'not responding' states if I launch them in this first 10mins after boot. If I leave the laptop alone for 10mins and then try all seems well.

    Please see attached logs. Massively appreciate any help. I've slightly sanitised the logs in terms of names to user dirs etc. Please can you tell me if I need to alter any scripts back that you might give me to run?

    Thanks in advance

    I am not seeing any malware in your logs. Did you set this:
    Code:
    [DNS][PUM] HKLM\[...]\CCSet\[...]\{BD3E54E3-61D9-4733-B849-906D72B3A465} : NameServer (172.31.139.17 172.30.139.17 [(Private Address) (XX) - (Private Address) (XX)]) -> FOUND
    [DNS][PUM] HKLM\[...]\CCSet\[...]\{F7525C4A-5E67-4656-917F-B25A3F999771} : NameServer (10.135.109.1 [(Private Address) (XX)]) -> FOUND
    [DNS][PUM] HKLM\[...]\CS001\[...]\{BD3E54E3-61D9-4733-B849-906D72B3A465} : NameServer (172.31.139.17 172.30.139.17 [(Private Address) (XX) - (Private Address) (XX)]) -> FOUND
    [DNS][PUM] HKLM\[...]\CS001\[...]\{F7525C4A-5E67-4656-917F-B25A3F999771} : NameServer (10.135.109.1 [(Private Address) (XX)]) -> FOUND
    [DNS][PUM] HKLM\[...]\CS002\[...]\{BD3E54E3-61D9-4733-B849-906D72B3A465} : NameServer (172.31.139.17 172.30.139.17 [(Private Address) (XX) - (Private Address) (XX)]) -> FOUND
    [DNS][PUM] HKLM\[...]\CS002\[...]\{F7525C4A-5E67-4656-917F-B25A3F999771} : NameServer (10.135.109.1 [(Private Address) (XX)]) -> FOUND
    If you did not, rerun RogueKiller and click on the DNS tab and remove them.

    Are you still having issues? You may need to pursue those in the software forum.

    Thanks for your help. Reassuring that I have no malware but sadly that hasn't resolved the issue. I have a feeling WebRoot secure anywhere anti virus is locking on some other service that is starting at boot up but I'm not sure what yet.
    I'll repost to Software

    Thanks again

    You are welcome.

    Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
