Win 7 Uninstall

Hello, I would like to uninstallwinf and all other software to do fresh install with XP. Whats best way to do it ,if possible ?

 

What make and model of computer are you using? It may not support Windows XP and Microsoft support for Windows XP will end on April 8, 2014.

According to the Lenovo website, the T43 and T43P are Windows XP compatible. In fact, that is how they were shipped (with Windows XP).

Your only course of action, though, is to blank the hard drive and use a Windows XP installation CD to install the Operating System. Back up any important data first though.

You'd also need device drivers from this site. There are several models of T43. Most of them have 4 additional numbers after T43 so, make sure you select the correct model.

Then it's just a matter of installing your apps.

 

There is also the possibility of dual booting.

You can install W7, and XP side by side on a partitioned hard drive. If you do get a blue screen (unlikely) while trying to install Windows XP, let us know and we can help with that too.

 

bg9208 was pretty clear in stating he wanted to remove Windows and all other software in his OP. I informed him of the Microsoft support end date for XP.

 

Maybe he never heard of dual booting.

It would save him the trouble of going through a reinstall again when XP expires. However, he may be better off with Linux than W7 considering the hardware in question.
