Win 7 Updates

    When ever windows installs; "2020-01 Securty Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64 based systems (KB4534310)", I lose my shortcuts?? When I restore to an earler time before the update, everything is fine. The file association does not change, stays .lnk shortcut Unknown app.
    Any idea of what is going on?

    I have four Windows 7 computers. I haven't installed any monthly quality rollups. There is just to much junk added in. I've installed only security updates.

    Install KB4534314 the January 2020 Security only update. See if the issue goes away.

    You get the protection at 49.1 MB rather than the junk. The update you keep trying to install weight in at 314MB!
