Win 7 virtual pc winxp mode problem

Hi all,

I have win7 pro and virtual pc wint 7 V6.1 build 7600 and up until yesterday it was fantastic.

I used to launch the virtual pc XPMuser and up comes xp as expected. No worries.

Today it now prompts me with a box befre it goes into xp headed 'windows security' "enter your credentials"

It has never done this before. If i hit cancel it starts xp mode ,but then xp wants a user name and password too. I put in a blank one and i can continue into xp mode.

the big issue i have is that none of the hard drives are mapped - in other words i cannot see an entry like 'C: on therealpc' any more. The only entries are local drive C and of course I have no files there.

I have been into settings, integration fetures and drives is selected. I have unchecked it, restarted and then rechecked and restarted - same. nothing.

I'm at my wits end

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

oh, and apart from using it like I normally do, nothing has changed from my end.
