    Ad came across my email for Win 7 Premium Home edition upgrade SP1 64 bit.
    Will it "upgrade"?

    Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
    2.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 8 kilobyte primary memory cache
    512 kilobyte secondary memory cache
    40.02 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
    7.27 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space

    Not real sure what's going on there. As far as I know, Windows XP will not "upgrade" to Windows 7. However, if there is a Windows 7 OS installed on a computer, that version might have the capacity to be "upgraded". For example, if the OS is Win 7 Home Basic, it can be "upgraded" to Home Premium, from Home Premium to Professional, from Professional to Ultimate, etc...

    I'd be very careful about answering such an email - it's been my experience that such offers are fake and could very well be dangerous.
