Win 8

I just installed Win 8, Chameleon Clock, a reminder

program that pops up when an appointment is due, will

not open, when I try to uninstall it, I get the

message that the program is open and must be closed to

uninstall, cannot find it to close it, another WIn 8

nightmare, used this program for years without a

problem, any help appreciated.It was always hidden in

the start menu, when putting the cursor on the start

area it would pop up, now nothing. I was asked why, if I

do not like Win. 8 why am I using it, it came with the

computer, I am trying to get back to Win 7.I have a Win

7 disk but Its an upgrade, I believe you need a full

install disk to re-install. Thanks for any advice,

The program is only certified for Win Vista as far as I can see. If you have only just installed it you can probably reverse the situation by using Win 8 System Restore to a date preceding when you installed it. You could also delete its program files in Program Files (x86)

 

I believe Revo Uninstaller is another option in this case.

 

Did you check with the Task Manager (Processes) that it's indeed not running?
