win 95 game on XP.

i have an old Windows 95 game (namely KKND) which i am trying to run on win xp with no joy. any ideas?

 

try setting the compatability settings to w95 . Rightclick properties, comptatability, w95

 

right click where? think it's something to do with vesa driver?

 

you installed it right? right click the icon on the desktop and follow like said.

 

you can't install it even as it freezes in DOS and asks about your vesa driver.

 

Yeah....Download DOSBox, it should work. Also if you get confused using it, download D-Fend...just google D-fend..I don't know the link @_@

ok using dos box as i got as far as where it asks you about whether you want to use UniVBE(tm) as your Vesa driver and was this time able to press Y or N (unlike before). I then got an error message:

INI error: Opening file C:\kkndins.cfg

 

Is the file THERE? it sounds like part of the game. If your game is somehwere else put that part in C: Thats all I got. @_@
