Win ME crash????

Hi Guys ,

A little problem that happened to me the other day...........
I was on my computer, then we had a short power cut causing my computer to turn off.

When I turned it back on it was back to kind of 'factory settings' with all my desktop icons gone.

It wont let me press the start button............

It wont go into certain programmes like Internet explorer......

But still all my old files and programmes are there when I search for them in my computer...........But I cant access them, when I go into a folder, the files are all hidden...........?????

I tried restarting in safe mode etc...... but its all the same.

It may be a virus(i dont know) but when I press Ctrl,Alt,Delete to see what programmes are running, this thing called '' rstrui '' comes up.

Its doing my head in, big-time .

Is there any way, I can get it back to the way it was or even save my files....???????????
