Win ME - Mouse clicks in IE sound thru speakers???

    Working on a friends HP Pavilian XL768 with Win Me.

    It appears in IE that some mouse clicks result in an audible click from the speakers.
    Trying to find what is causing this and how to trun it off.
    Already did Contol Panel --> Sounds and set to 'No SOund'.
    It still does the clicks when using IE.

    Any ideas of what this is and where the settings for this are?
