win me printer driver

    need info about obtaining print driver for windows M.E. for lexmark x1270 printer/scanner:cry I know windows me old puter have not updated

    Sadly no WinME drivers are listed for your model printer at Lexmark, if they had them they would be available, did also look to see if a workaround driver from Xerox would be WinME compatible, but sadly its not, lowest Windows version it covers is WinXP.

    If you just plug it in does Windows ME try and install a driver or not?

    Would think you are out of luck here with that old WinME PC, as while you can in the likes of XP choose a compatability mode for an older version of Windows, no such thing exists to add compatability to WinME for the likes of XP.
