Win Media 10 and Verizon

Hello all! I am new to the forum but figured someone much smarter than me could figure this question out...

I just bought one of Verizon's Lg Navigation phones that allows you to download songs to. I have only about 100 songs in MP3 format. After much searching, I found out that I can only download .wma formatted music. So I searched for a converter. Found one by NBX Audio (I believe) and converted MP3 to wma... Well the extensions say .WMA but when I try to synch with the phone from Win Med 10, it says I need to convert the songs. Why won't the phone or Win Med synch? What am I doing wrong. I really don't want to pay for a bunch of new songs... HEEELLLLPPPP

 

That is because the phone will not play back WMA. It can only do .WAV, .MP3, or Midi.

 

I tried to sync the mp3 to the phone in mp3 format. Media 10 says it must do a conversion (no choice) I don't know what it's converting to but the extensions do say mp3. After the sync finishes, only 3 songs are downloaded and the rest are under "server threw an exception" file..

What exactly do I start with since Verizon will only use Media 10? Is there something simplier that I am not doing? I would rather not have to buy all new songs from Vcast.

 

Do not use WMP, try WinAmp, or even iTunes.

 

You know I was seriously wondering if I could use Itunes... Thank you very much!

 

Update. Itunes only works with 2 cell phones right now. Mine isn't one of them... So I will try the other one you referred to.

 

Well, after much searching, I found that the Verizon LG 8300 phone has a hidden menu that has vcast enabled and mp3 disabled. I also found out that w/out getting an additional memory card, only 2 songs (approximately) can be downloaded.

Leave it to Verizon to cripple every thing on a phone forceing you to pay to use features built into the phone.
