Hello recently im experiencing frequent and odd hangups in my win xp os...(none of them happened before)..See i have a dual os system with Win Xp on Drive d:\ adn Win 98 on c:\. So since i installed Norton/ did some mods to the page file/or did something wrong without knowing how messy things can get....im having these strange crashes..so here goes right...Win Xp start normally...every thing goes fine...then after it has been idle for 3-4 hours(lets say im downloading something with my pathetic 56k connection) and then after i try opening something (like a program or an .exe file) nothing happens...The "busy "cursor appears and then it turns normal and nothing happens. I cant open task manager, cant open anything. Although i can navigate through my computer/my docs/start menu control panel. But when i try clicking on something nothing happens.I cant even shut down or restart. If i click the right mouse button the "busy" cursor appears again and then it doesn't go away. There my os has crashed again and i have to manually restart. I have turned error reporting on but it reports nothing. Although i was able to find out the error messages from the event log...and here they are:-
