Win XP - Search window blanc under START tab

Hello Everyone!!

Little trouble with Search window under START tab in Win XP

Had some issues with Malware infection on the PC.
GREAT people from that section helped me a lot and cleaned my PC.

Unfortunately now I cant seem to be able to use the search window. It comes blanc with no place to input what you are looking for.

I have uninstalled - Java(TM) 6 Update 3, as suggested, and installed Sun Java Runtime Environment.

Not to be assumptive, but from that time the Search option does not work.

As suggested I have RUN -
regsvr32 jscript.dll and regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Both successfully installed.

Still have troubles, any suggestions?

Search - Doesn't Work

Open Explorer and go to the Windows\Inf folder. Locate the srchasst.inf file. Right click it and select Install. You'll need your XP CD or the files from the I386 folder. (This fix will require you to have your Win XP CD).

The Windows\Inf folder is a hidden folder. You can adjust your Explorer Folder Options (View tab) to Show hidden files and folders. You can also click Start, Run and enter %SystemRoot%\Inf to open directly to the Inf folder.

Unfortunatelly something is not right here.

I did all ya suggested.
I have my CD-rom in the tray.
Looked in I386 on the disc and only thing there is: MSGR3EN.DL_
When I click open I get a message that msgr3en.dll can not be found on the CDrom

Any suggestions.
