win xp updates removal

hi i was just curious if there was a way to remove all the win xp updates off my comp at once? i have to restart my comp after each deletion and it is taking forever, there are quite a few left. i am deleting all of them then i'm just going to get the critical security ones and the driver updates and not bother with the rest.any help would be great.thanks.

i have my win xp disk here but i don't want to lose any data that i have on my comp. if i reinstall will i lose my data?i'm not sure but i have a feeling i may.any thoughts on this?

 

You shouldn't, but no guarantees.

YOu will have to update your drivers again.

System Restore before you installed all the updates.
Thats about it if you want them gone in one big fell swoop.

 

system restore will do it? i thought the programs would still be on there that's why i haven't done it yet.

System Restore will fully revert a hotfix or SP update.

Thats why every time you install one, it sets a restore point.
