Previously my win10 desktop didn’t want to shut down. It would just restart whenever i tried to. So i just pulled the plug thinking nothing of it. Now I’m trying to start it up it doesn’t load at all. Meaning i press power, monitor does detect pc starting by taking off the usual message it has {waiting for signal}, the monitor blinks and sometimes a thin line flashes across the screen but then the waiting for signal for signal comes back & it just repeats.

    any idea?

Doing that enough times will manage to corrupt the files. Corrupt files meas the PC might not boot.

You might have to boot from a Win 10 DVD and attempt a repair.

Got it working, started without any issues.
I am not sure if it was a jammed power/restart button or purely by luck as I was playing around with the power button (e.g. press to power on and hold it).
Unfortunately I cannot provide a useful answer for others in a seemingly similar predicament.
