How do I do it? I saw somebody at a day program today and last Thursday mark files to print out while preparing to print out some pictures out for me. I can simply change the folder icon but want something more temporary but to last up to a few days.

Sorry, but I don't understand what you're looking for.

I just want to mark one or a few folders as currently active temporarily and have the mark appear on multiple laptops and remove the mark easily. Again, I can change the folder icon, but that's more long term.

Shared folders on a network? Synced shared folders with individual existences on multiple laptops?

I think you might have to go with changing your folder icons.

The computers aren't connected. I think you're right, and the icons I can use are in the same location on both computers, or I can use Rainbow Folders, but I need to install it on my home computer. Thank you.

I tried Rainbow Folders, and it helped. :)
