Win11/edge: Download By Default On File Type?

Hi! I use Microsoft Edge on a Win11/64 laptop to surf the internet and have a slight annoyance: when I click on a file with the extension ".nib," Edge tries to display it as text, resulting in garbage, as it's a disk image for emulation of Apple2 computers. I can simply right-click the file the click "Save Link As...," but I prefer to just click the file and have it automatically download the file. Same with .pdf files. How do I do this?

 

I made a mistake: when I downloaded a file of a type I wanted downloaded automatically, I right-clicked the file and must have chosen the wrong item, as, now, Edge tries to open the file on download. How do I fix that and have files of that type download automatically instead?
