Hi guys, looking for some help on a problem I haven't been able to find much on. A client updated his Win2k to SP3 and upon reboot now gets a stop error every time, STOP:0x00000071(0x00000000,[4 times]) SESSION5_INITIALIZATION_FAILED. I've researched it and the best I've found is format/reinstall, which is obviously a last resort. Any help would greatly appreciated.

What about doing a Windows repair.

    yes...

That is something I haven't tried yet, the client cannot find his cd, so I'm taking it back to the shop and try with our cd. Also, won't let me in safemode, last known good, or any other way. Thanks for the fast reply.

Only problem is when you repair windows you have to reinstall all the drivers and updates again.
