Hi I have my folks' pc and it has a persistent Win32.Agent.pz infection and occasionally Malware.trace / MS.Juan shows up as well.

Removed a few Vundo / Virtumonde strains during the scans but now Spybot and MBAM pick up these remaining problems. Have add/removed Viewpoint, run CCleaner and am unsure as to what to do next

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

You versions of SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes should be updated and new scans run just to be on the safe side.
    • Please uninstall your current version (this is necessary).
    • Then download this SUPERAntiSpyware
    • Install this new version. It may tell you that you need to reboot to complete the installation. You must reboot at this time.
    • After the reboot, run SUPERAntiSpyware and immediately click the Check for Updates button to get more updates for the database.
    • Now run a new full scan of your system. And attach this new log.
Now run Malwarebytes and click the Update tab. Then click the Check for Updates button so you update to the current version of the program and database. Then run a new scan with it too. Attach the new log.

Have you been working your problems on another website? I see a lot of specialty tools in your logs ( like SDfix, Housecall, Sysclean, RegSeeker, VirtumondeBegone, VundoFix ).

Your other logs are all clean. Looks like ComboFix removed the last of your problems. Let's see if the new SAS and MBAM scans find anything else.

    Thanks Chaslang.
    I have attached logs.
SAS found two instances of Adware.WinSrc in the reg.

Yeah I did try a few solutions from other searches.

You're welcome. Your logs are clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. If we user SDFix you can delete all the SDFix related files and folders from your Desktop or whereever you installed it.
    4. If we used VundoFix, you can delete the VundoFix.exe file and the C:\VundoFix Backups folder and C:\vundofix.txt log that was created.
    5. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    8. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    9. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    10. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    11. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
