My computer (windows xp) started having lots of popups in november after i let my boyfriend use it. i installed malawarebytes and it seemed to fix the problem. last week, i let someone else use my computer. when i tried to check my email later internet explorer wouldn't load at all. i couldn't run malawarebytes. the program would close as soon as it opened. there were new icons in the system tray and lots of popups telling me that the computer was infected and to click here to repair.

i had norton systemworks 03, i think, with virus definitions that expired 6 months ago as my antivirus program. windows defender is the firewall. malawarebytes as the spyware program.

i downloaded avg, zonealarm, smitfraudfix, and the malicious software removal tool from microsoft on another computer before i read found this forum. i uninstalled norton and installed avg (pretty sure i installed avg). installed the malicious software removal tool which was unable to remove the files but said that the computer was infected with win32/vlob.bah and win32/vlob.ans. i installed smitfraudfix. today, after i ran all the scans and got the log files to submit i accidentally installed zonealarm. i uninstalled it.

i followed the read me instructions and the cleaning instructions for windows xp. downloaded the programs and got the logs.

thank you for helping me with this!!!

You need to tell me exactly what is being reported and by what program....as I am not seeing any malware in your logs.

I suggest you use Norton Removal Tool.

And most of you problems may be explained by this:
    Code:
    Total Physical Memory 256.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 45.12 MB

    You need more RAM!!!!
