I have numbers of image files on the disk, need to see their content quickly in Explorer, without opening it.
Once created a database when entering a folder on re-entry, then opens quickly, os it has in cache. Until the restart, when once displayed thumbnails are creating again and slowly. Is there a way to set that still does not create a new database? Or is it not erased but the access is slow? I have a fast SSD, it should be faster anyway.
Thanks for any advice on how to speed it up.

    Hi Peter

Indexing can be slow in creating/showing thumbnails at times even with an SSD, do you use any disk cleaning apps like CCleaner at all? if so check that its not deleting the thumbnail cache as this should not be deleted by default or Windows does not unless you have checked in Disk Cleanup the Thumbnails option.

Alternative is possibly use a 3rd party app to view large image data sets, and XNView is a good database image management app.
