Are you talking about Microsoft's Mahjong from the app store?

If so, there is an option for you to reset them in Settings.

You can access your settings by bringing your mouse to the right so that the side panel pops out > Settings > Game Options > Reset Statistics

In Windows 7, you click on Game then Statistics and then the reset button. You have to do this for each of the 6 layouts in Mahjong Titans.

Many thanks to you both for replying. The microsoft mahjong games came pre-loaded with my HP laptop, not installed from the app store. I am at my wits end trying to reset/delete the accumulative scores and I am not finding a solution. In Settings there is no Game Options/Reset Statistics. Any further help and suggestions?

Are you running this through Wild Tangent Games?

    Here's a link for you: https://support.wildtangent.com/hc/en-us/articles/200435443-Resetting-High-Scores

I would suggest checking out Microsoft's mahjong through the app store on Windows 8 (which you mentioned you have). I've played that and it's very good.

LauraR, Many thanks for the link. However, I cannot find the file "C:\Program Files\Wild Games or C:\Program Data\Wild Tangent on my HP 2000 Notebook PC running Windows 8. Any help as to how I may locate this file on my notebook? :confused

Well, first off...you haven't confirmed that it's the Wild Tangent game you are playing. HP typically comes preloaded with it, which is why I mentioned it.

If your mahjong is a wild tangent game, you should see Wild Tangent listed in your Programs. If you go to your Start Page (Metro screen), you should be able to move your mouse to the bottom left of the screen and see an arrow that if you click, it will bring you to a list of all your programs. If you see Wild Tangent in there, right click on it and click on open file location.

Please confirm, though, that you are actually using Wild Tangent. If you aren't, you'll have to tell us what the game is.

The other thing you can try is uninstalling it and reinstalling. That should wipe all your scores.

Also, for clarity I have posted the full instructions in the link I had given you...please make careful note of the red text. I have no idea why, but apparently the folder could be hidden, so please follow the instructions listed below if you haven't done this already. :

LauraR, many thanks for your reply. It is much appreciated.
I will try to see if I can follow your instructions to successfully remove rhe mahjong scores from my HP notebook.
The game is called Microsoft Mahjong but I'm sure its probably a
WildTangent game, as looking at the top of the IE screen toolbar there is actually a WildTangent Games folder.
I tried opening it but still cannot find the mahjong game listed there. I will go ahead and try your suggestion and will let you know the outcome.

plodr, many thanks for your reply. I checked the links you provided, but still cannot find any solution how to delete the scores. Apparently there may be some answers posted in the facebook forums but I am not a member and I don't want to go there. Perhaps some members here can access the solution on Facebook, and if so, be kind enough to post it on this majorgeeks support forum??? Would be much appreciated.

Hi...have you tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it?

Also, when you open the game, bring your mouse to the right of your screen so that the side panel opens. Click on Settings. What exactly do you see? Do you see 'Game Options'?

As far as Facebook, I wouldn't hold out too much hope, but I'd be happy to go look for you if you have an exact Facebook page to go to. Facebook has pages (I have my own page), they do not have forums.

    HI

This is a difficult thing to reset in the games from Microsoft as they are linked to XBox Games account even if you dont have an Xbox, as in Windows Vista up there is an Xbox games app that ties all the games in.

Now you could possibly uninstall Microsoft Mahjong then you would need to delete a hidden folder (so in Explorer > View > tick hidden items then locate this folder C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftMahjong_8wekyb3d8bbwe and delete, now the back part of the name maybe different as the bold bit maybe my account data.

Then reboot and re-install Mahjong from the store and see if it works to reset your score, may or may not do as I mentioned scores maybe held online in Xbox games account.
