Win98 Computer: Usb Hub Driver Needed!

    Hi! My Win98SE computer at my mother's house is still not working: the USB hub driver seems to have broken. :( Where can I find the driver for it? I can look in the System control panel and remove the current driver then reboot and install the new driver.

    By HUB I mean the ports on the back of the computer. It seems that that driver is the problem.

    The USB ports at the back of the computer are on-board. NOT a hub.

    Sorry! I believe the main USB driver is bad, as the drive worked when I used a DOS-based driver to access the drive. I would still be using the DOS driver, but it messed up other drives. :(

    Maybe it isn't the driver. The ports on the motherboard of a Windows 98 computer might have simply died.
    If none of the drivers work then you are looking at a hardware failure - no driver will fix that.

    Have you downloaded and tried any of the drivers I linked to?

    A while ago, I tried the drivers, but they didn't work. Maybe you're right. Luckily, I have some free slots in the back of the computer to add USB ports. :)

    I think it is the driver and not the port, as, IIRC, a DOS driver for it seems to have worked. Where can I get a replacement driver for the ports? I have Win98SE.
