Win98 Recommended Text Editor

Hi! I have a Win98SE computer at my mother's house on which I want to do some programming and am wondering if Notepad++ will work on it. If not, I want some recommendations for useful text editors. BTW, I'm mainly programming in C.

Notepad++ is suppose to work on 98. It has been a while since I did an install on 98 so not sure about the latest version. You can get older versions at Oldapps.com if needed.

Why are you using a Win98 PC for programming?

 

Actually, I'm mainly using a Win10/64 laptop for programming. I just want to utilize a Win98 computer--and a DOS laptop--for programming as well.

I'm done with programming.
My point is why use Win98 when you have a Win10 PC?

 

I wasn't ribbing you for the Win98 comment. I see posts like that all the time.
I'm actually seriously curious what you used for programming..
..Maybe I should port my 'any computer' bootable encryption program to something multithreaded.
