Hi! I have a Win98 computer at my mother's house. Now, I added a short-cut to a folder to the SendTo menu's folder in the hopes that I can easily copy a file from one location to another. However, it seems that, in this setup, Win98 follows normal file copy methods: copy if across drives and move to same drive. Now, I want it to always copy. How do I do that?

I suggest you google search this. There are still many topics on this specific issue for Win98 in such a search. Unless anyone here uses Win98 now (highly unlikely) or has in the recent past (not much less unlikely), you could wait for ever for any help.

Since support for 98 and ME ended on July 11, 2006, I suspect I haven't used 98 in close to a decade. All the 98 computers in the house have long ago been e-cycled.
The ME was updated to Win 2K and linux but that was e-cycled about 5 years ago,

I think you could put together a sequence in MSDOS. It's been so long and remembering isn't one of my best skills.
    Something like..
    cd\'one location'
    copy *.* C:\'another'
    exit
where 'one location' is the name of the first folder and 'another' the name of the second.
I suppose you could place the above in a text file with the extension .bat and then it should run in msdos as a batch file by typing its name. eg. If you called it test1.bat and saved it to {a directory}. When in dos cd\{a directory} and type test1.

All a very long time ago.
    Good luck,
    s.
