I just assembled a computer from parts that were replaced unecessarily. I formatted a hard drive and installed win98 second edition and all the updates from microsoft. I installed a new faster CDRW drive. Win 98 identifies it correctly in the propeties of my computer but calls it a CDROM. I removed the new CDRW drive and installed the old CDRW drive. Win 98 calls it a CRDOM as well. I cannot get wim 98 to accept these CDRW drives as CDRW drives. Thank you,

OK. What does AFAIK mean? So where do I get the driver for the cdrw and how do I get win 98 to accept a cdrw driver like mscdex so I can use the drive as cdrw?
