Window Media Player 9

    I thought I'd bite the bullet and upgrade WMP 7 to 9. I downloaded WMP9 and it fails to install giving the message below. However, my PC is Windows 98 SE - what's preventing the installation - any ideas?

    Yes, but to all intents and purposes it is now 98 SE with all the latest updates. Did have WMP 7 and a recent critical security patch rendered this unfunctional. Don't know what the distinction is.

    I have since downloaded Winamp 3.
