Window Vista - .Lnk / vbs infection

This is a continuation from the posts I have made in the Malware section. I hope just simply posting the link to that section is fine.

The only thing I have lacked to mention in there, is that my external hard drive is also infected and since this "Virus" (or whatever it is) came through a USB device, I am unsure if I should just keep it plugged into my computer while fixing everything. I assume I should but so far, I have just left it out.

I do not want to try plugging it into another computer to see if it is different there in fear that it will infect that one too.
