Windows 10 And The Case Of Missing Files?

I have a USB drive and I thought I was crazy. I have (had) like 3 -4 folders on this 256G USB drive, and I noticed certain files missing from a couple of the folders. Well, I thought it was something I did, so I just moved on. Well, yesterday I copied some more files into the drive. Opened it, closed it, and opened it again. All there. Then about 15 minutes later I had to put some more files into that same folder, and POOF, the files I put in earlier are GONE. Any suggestions?

Also, not all files disappear. Even with these files missing the drive still has files and folders. It's ll pictures and word documents.

Jeeeez! It took over 12 hours to finish the scan and came back with 441K errors??? What the crap?

 

It wasn't one of those cheap USB drives, was it? Definatley not good.

 

3 - 32G for $25

 

Wait nevermind. Wrong drives. I am sure it was. it was a 256G for like $100.

 

It's just strange! I can load some files on it. Pull it out 2-3 times, and file still be there, but in just a little bit, they completely disappear.

 

All those errors would indicate a faulty drive.
