Anyone have ideas how to trace down what is causing the Bluescreen errors on my Desktop?

HP Pavilion 550-a114. Purchased Dec 2015. It is not the greatest box, but I had to have a new computer for work from home last year.

    Need more info.

OS, Service Pack if applicable, and the type of error or code from the BSOD.

I am not sure how to find the error code from the BSOD. It was an unrecoverable error.
I was on the Windows Insider program and this is the Anniversary Edition (latest build) of Windows 10

When was this beta build installed?

It was not the beta, it was the final version. It was about 3 weeks ago the last update installed.

I found the error today at BSOD- BAD POOL CALLER

Programs running were VLC streaming Old Time Radio

Chrome with tabs for Feedly, and MG

Where do I find what caused the BSOD? Aren't there dump files created to diagnose?

See if you can find anything relevant logged in Reliability Monitor that you can get any useful info out of: Control Panel\System and Security\Security and Maintenance\Reliability Monitor

Try BlueScreenView, to check the 3rd party drivers, list by oldest Modified date first, older (or known bad/buggy) drivers/filters are most likely to be behind it. The safest drivers are most likely those Modified after your Windows Service Pack level was released. Less than a year old drivers should be okay for you.

If it continues after updating/removing your older software, drivers/filters carefully read and follow the info here, we'll check through the data and see what else shows up.

I can't figure out how to start a new topic, but I've had 2 PC's crash with W10.
The latest one had the bsod but I wasn't there and don't know what it said.
Then it went to black screen and looked like this pic:

I made discs when I got the computer, but can't remember if it was W7 or 8 or 8.1
It won't do anything when I press any key, with the first disc in the drive.

I could not find how to view the Reliability Monitor you suggested.

I saw a related thread and ran the sysnative utility last night. Thank you for your help. File is attached.

The main cause for these BSODs is a bad/old driver or possibly a bad Service causing corruption of vital Windows files whilst they're held in memory, there are 3 older software with such drivers running, uninstall them during testing: ioBit's SmartDefrag (not needed anyway, W10's defrag is fine), HWiNFO64 (the latest version should be fine, uninstall and reboot before installing the new version, don't allow it to run at Boot, only use it when you need to run diag. checks) and your Logitech drivers - download and install the latest version. (The 'olde' AMD/ATI drivers should be fine, W10 AU should have checked them and auto-updated if necessary.)

There's a chance that the (MS -supplied?) ATI/AMD GPU drivers aren't stable, I've had an issue with a freeze/lock up on my #2 PC since AU. See if you can find the latest WHQ drivers from AMD for W10 and install them.

This looks like an Insider build, you really should be reporting bugs to MS.

Reliability Monitor is found under 'View reliability history':

I could not find how to uninstall HWiNFO64, and that may have disappeared when I uninstalled the 3rd party iobit utilities. AMD Radeon does updates occasionally and I don't run on the edge for graphics.

I did receive an error that the keyboard battery was low. Not sure if that caused BSOD, but a trip to Walgreens and there are fresh AA's in the keyboard and mouse now.

I have long thought that the 8GB of memory and the AMD chip were woefully underpowered. I intend to upgrade later this year as i did upgrade the laptop last month and the Geek Fund is dry for now.

Is there a way to test again to find if there are still some conflicts? I simply do not know where to look.

Thank you again for your time!

You could run Driver Verifier, study the info carefully, it will put stress on the PC and cause crashes, hopefully, any crash dumps made will be more useful in pinpointing the bad driver.
