Windows 10 Clean Up

With my recently downloaded Win 10 I find 2 MSXML 4.0 SP2 programs, KB954430 & KB973688. Support for these by MS was discontinued back in 2014 or '15. I've done a lot of research and can't seem to find a straight answer whether they're needed or not. I see that MS said they were still needed back in 2015.

My wife has a laptop that received the forced Win 10 upgrade from 7 by MS and that does not have these programs.

 

If they installed and no problem, personally, I would leave them be.
If they are not installed, watch for them in any update, and make a restore point before installing them.
