Windows 10 Deleting Files

    Help.. Windows 10 force updated And now over 100GB of data on my desktop was removed.. I need that data

    If these files are important to you why didn't you make backups? Anyway, it is unlikely that an update has completely removed any personal files but if you know all or even part of any of the file names use Everything to locate them. If that succeeds you will probably find the rest of your missing files in the same folder.

    It only found two folders.. which were useless and i don't have the money to spend on a backup drive plus what if i end up getting one then the drive dies and same as the PC? its basically the same issue now..

    Price USB sticks. With the school years approaching, lots of stores have USB sticks cheap. I usually grab a few.
    You put copies of your files on sticks so when the drive dies (or weird MS behavior), you will not have lost everything.
