    Windows 10 Home 64 bit
    Laptop HP 17-by1

Insert DVD movie into DVD player (which is built into laptop), push in DVD drive, DVD does not show in file explorer. But in Device Manager if I disable then enable "DVD/CD ROM drives", the DVD drive will immediately be visible in file explorer. Note that I checked and "DVD/CD ROM drives" has the latest driver.

Any idea how to fix this?

Windows 10 doesn't include any program to play DVDs.
I suggest you download VLC and set it as the default to play DVDs. It should work then.
