I've had this computer with Windows 10 for about 5 months now. Every day I hate it more with a vengeance.. Here's to-day's questions.:
Included in 10 is Windows Defender. This is an anti-virus program? I've always used AVG very happily. Am I correct in thinking that I cant run both on one machine?
Is it true that I shouldn't defrag the hard drive because Windows 10 handles that chore automatically?
I cant emphasize how much I hate Windows 10. Windows 7 was such a pleasure to work with.

When you install any anti-virus software, Windows Defender is automatically disabled.

What TimW says. And why do you want to waste your time defragging manually if Windows does it for you? What do you use your computer for, tinkering? BTW, you certainly should not defrag your drive if it is SSD, it shortens its life, and Win 10 knows not to do it.

    Thanks Tim W
Earthling: I gather from your reply that Windows takes care of defragging so I don't have to? Good to know.

That's been so since Win 7.

... and Win 10 improves with use, this is one release that is pretty good.
