Windows 10 Professional 64 Bit Start Menu Not Working

It's been a while since i used windows 10.

Been updating it all day.God takes for ever.

I am using the Windows 10 Update Assistant right now.

But when i first logged in the windows start was working fine.But now its not even opening at all.I can right click on it but left click or pressing the windows key does nothing.

Any ideas.

Oh i am running sfc /scannow right now to.

I have spent the last 6 hours trying to update windows 10.

And it's giving me problems now.Windows update assistant asked me to update my bios.Which i have know idea why it would ask me this.You should not have to update bios for any thing.

My level of frustration is starting to peak.

I have never had such a hard time updating any windows never in the last 20 years.

Even Windows Xp was a cake walk compared to this crap.

You may just have to bite the bullet and do a restore to factory......go to the search bar and type in reset this pc.

Reboot and start hitting F8.

Or:
Restart your PC to get to the sign-in screen, then press and hold down the Shift key while you select the Power Circle with line Power icon icon > Restart in the lower-right hand corner of the screen. After your computer restarts, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
