Please, can someone help me not despise windows 10 so badly I want to throw this 2 month old computer in the pond?
    so many reasons...
I can't even ask a question on the microsoft support site without making a microsoft account..-eye roll-
    So much to annoy me

... an over 2 minute boot time.. fresh from the box. That's just unacceptable. Yesterday, booting to safe mode took 130 seconds.. I timed it.

I have no splash screen.. no way to interrupt a boot to get to the bios.. it's just weird.

The inability to highlight and copy information from the settings panel pisses me off..so I can't paste this:
    HP Laptop 17-by3xxx
    8GB RAM
    Windows 10 Home
1909 build 18363.1139.. and no I don't want to update to the May 2020 version - I'd rather hunt down an unused legal disc for windows 7 and wipe this OS from my machine. God only knows how long that update would take and how many times it would freeze and crash trying.

I use programs.. not apps. I would like to remove all traces of "apps" from the machine..but because
    Windows 10 doesn't give me,
the sole user with an admin account,
access to all sorts of places and features that I would be using..or deleting/uninstalling
I can't remove things I will never use.
for example.. xbox features..gamebar.. cortana...some crap called people.. I don't even like people... something about my phone.. which is a land line.. bluetooth anything.. I don't play the wireless game..the Microsoft store.. offline maps..
    and much more.

the words "access denied" should NEVER appear on a machine I own. A computer is a tool..not my nanny.

forced installation of Edge.. something I did not ask for and do not want taking space and resources on my machine.
I'll choose my own browsers thank you very much. (palemoon, Waterfox, Seamonkey)

No way to disable the resource hog - Antimalware service executable.
At any given time It's taking 30-40 percent of available memory...sometimes 100 percent forcing me to just close the laptop and walk away.
I have my own choice of antivirus, antimalware and firewalls installed (avast, wizecare, fortknox)

Constant freezing.. I spend more time waiting for this computer to respond than getting stuff done... even just typing into notepad.

Useless search.. freezes every time and gives results that don't even resemble my search terms.
The last time Microsoft had a good search feature, was windows XP. I still miss that little puppy-clip.

I've spent so much time in the MS help pages.. reading.. trying things that don't help.. even reinstalled this OS.. no joy.

don't even get me started on windows updates.. not being able to choose which ones to install and when.. why would I want updates to language packs??
    My second language is typo.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Info on where to get a windows 7 disc?

Well there are a couple things i couple help with.

    Use IObit Uninstaller https://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/iobit_uninstaller,1.html

This will help uninstall the junk-ware on the system. If you don't want the new edge chromium you can uninstall it using Iobit uninstaller. But it will reinstall it self. You can disable this edge chromium auto install through Registry editor.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Edge

Look for this DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium and double click on it set value to 0 it will be set to 1.

IObit uninstaller is all so free...A bit easier to use then revo.

Revo can cause crashing problems if you uninstall thing's incorrectly.

I use both Revo (Pro) and Ashampoo (Free)'s uninstallers.
In 15+ years never had a problem.

    If you use this section
    Capture.PNG
It will cause system crashes.Try uninstalling some thing microsoft apps with this section and you will most likely get a crash it happened to me a few times when trying to remove registry with this.

No it won't. I always click Select All.
The black items are removed, but not the red.

Keep in mind I use Revo Uninstaller Pro.

Not going to say much more then this because it's getting off topic....

But every one's setup is different.I have had issues with wise-care in the past.Every one has their own opinion. You stick with what is good for you.

I’ve never had problems with Revo even when running the aggressive cleaning. IOBit programs though I’ve had problems with.

Edge is now so inbuilt into Windows that it can no longer be uninstalled.
My laptop has a hard drive & can take a minute or so to show the login screen.
