Windows 10

I am trying to remove windows 10 and go back to my Windows 7 operating system. I followed microsofts directions from online but cannot remove windows10. Most of my programs will not run in windows 10 and most of them were remove by windows 10. Is there anyway I can revert back to windows 7. Windows vista came with the laptop. I upgraged to windows 7. Do I have any options? Purchasing new programs such a microsoft office in not an option for me. Please advise.

You can only revert to 7 during the first 30 days after upgrading to 10. After that the option to revert disappears from Settings > Update and Security > Recovery and your Win 7 licence is revoked. If 10 isn't running well you do have the option to perform a clean install of 10 using the media creation tool. I did that when the upgraded system wasn't running that well but it's been good after the clean install. It does mean reinstalling all your software though.

Me, I make monthly images. If something goes wrong, I restore an image.
Since I'm reading more people are having difficulty going back to the previous version of Windows from 10 before the month is up, I advise them to make an image before they start the upgrade process. That way, if things don't work out (programs and printers) and the downgrade doesn't work, restoring the image will.
