Windows 11 Clean Install

After a clean install due to issues, there is a persistent icon on my desktop that has to do with the picture I see rotating -I guessn bit is spotlight. I cannot remove it and I keep a clean desktop except for the recycle bin .
Is there a way to regain a clean desktop besides a registry hack?
That icon is new and is light black, it has options to change the picture etc.

P.S. I solved it by changing it from spotlight to solid color-light blue. What a regression.
