Windows 11 File Sort By List

Hello! The W11 Sort By List cannot be changed when selecting files within a folder to add to a programme. With W10 and its predecessors, there was a More button, which would open up more options. This is still available at the top when one is just perusing files. The problem is when you are trying to open files from a folder to add to a programme. Then, the controls in the top bar are absent. See attached.

Any ideas on how to resolve this, please? Thanks.

 

Yes, the context menu was "compacted" in the Windows 11 OS "upgrade". You can restore the older context menu by following this registry hack: Restore old Right-click Context menu in Windows 11 - Microsoft Community
