Does anyone know of a tool that I can run each evening (or automatically when files have been added or removed) to search through our Windows 2000 directory tree and change the color of a folder and its sub-directories to say red or shaded when the sub-directory tree is empty (and back to yellow when a file has been placed in a directory).

Our users are searching for documents on the network by drilling down only to find that they reach a dead end with no files in them. My thinking is that if they came across a red colored folder it would mean that all subsequent folders are empty and so they know not to bother looking in there.
