Windows 2000 programs running?

Recently I started having problems with Spyware. After using AdAware, I restarted my computer and wrote down every program that started automatically so that I could "End Task" on all the extras if I started having problems. My list is:

Hptrayicon
Systray

Hpztsb09
Mwsoemon
Today when I restarted, these extras were on the list:
Ixgb [not responding]
Tsl [not responding]
Zepmf [not responding]
Hcm
(I ended those tasks.) The only things I do on my computer are type with Microsoft Word 2000 and get on the internet. I don't know what these programs do or if I need them. Please let me know which ones I can safely get rid of. Thank you for your time!

Okay, y'all, I may have lied to you. On my CPU tower, there is a sticker that says Microsoft Windows 2000 professional and Windows 98. When I turn on my computer, the screen says Windows 98. I don't know if that affects the programs running.
