    Hi,

My computer boots into the startup repair program and runs endlessly. When I try system restore it does not give me any options. I have browsed these and other forums and run a few of the programs recommended from a USB boot disk (wintobootic), specifically I have run FRST64 (from command line win7 OEM disk). I will attach the FRST files that I got, hopefully they will help.

I am not sure what the cause of this condition is, but it sounds similar to other peoples problems who have posted in malware forums for help, so I thought I would try too.

Thanks so much for your help!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

You may be better off trying to post in the Software Forum as it does not look like you are having malware problems. This just may be a result of what you have been installing/doing on your PC recently. For example I see the below

    HKU\KSIUSHA\...\Run: [AROReminder] C:\Program Files (x86)\ARO 2012\ARO.exe -rem [2552688 2012-01-06] (Support.com, Inc.)

was installed and possibly run on Jan 6th. Registry optimizers are strongly not recommended and are frequent cause of all kinds of problems including one like you are reporting.

I also notice that a crash occurred a short time after you put all the below on your PC:

    2012-12-15 12:12 - 2012-12-15 12:12 - 00700557 ____A C:\Users\KSIUSHA\Downloads\vegas.pro.12.-patch (2).rar
    2012-12-15 12:11 - 2012-12-15 12:11 - 00001038 ____A C:\Users\Public\Desktop\Vegas Pro 12.0 (64-bit).lnk
    2012-12-15 11:57 - 2012-12-15 12:06 - 229702272 ____A (Sony Creative Software Inc.) C:\Users\KSIUSHA\Downloads\vegaspro12.0.394 (2).exe
    2012-12-15 10:52 - 2012-12-15 10:52 - 00700557 ____A C:\Users\KSIUSHA\Downloads\vegas.pro.12.-patch (1).rar
    2012-12-15 10:48 - 2012-12-15 10:50 - 229702272 ____A (Sony Creative Software Inc.) C:\Users\KSIUSHA\Downloads\vegaspro12.0.394 (1).exe

Was this a legal copy or were you using Torrents and download illegal and possibly infected software.

I also see the below possible System Restore points that could possibly be used if you could get System Restore to run:

Restore point made on: 2012-12-18 18:26:45
Restore point made on: 2012-12-21 13:47:17
Restore point made on: 2012-12-29 21:59:04

Final note, I see that you cross posted in multiple forums and this is highly frowned upon because it can waste precious resources from multiple forums.

I could try giving you something to do with FRST, but I'm not sure it will help because I don't know what you did to get your PC in this state. If you would like to try it anyway, then do the below.

Download this >> View attachment fixlist.txt

Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.
Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

Now boot into normal Windows and continue with the below.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • Fixlog.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Still Same thing happening. Windows boots right to Startup Repair and says "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically". I Ran the fixlist.txt with the tool.BTW i noticed on System recovery options that my boot partition with windows 7 recognized that its at Local disk D: but its supposed to be C: .PS this is notebook of my sister and she said that it worked fine untill 12/28/12 somewhere around that date.I think she downloaded something from a Torrent file and i tried all three restore points but they dont work it says its starting but then it says some kind of error or mistake occured.Well here is the log. Thanks for looking!

Okay I'll go back to what I posted earlier.
As there is nothing in your logs related to malware and it appears you have Windows issues that need to be fixed. Possibly a rebuild of BCD will work, but again, please discuss in the Software Forum.
