    Ok guys.

I found a problem in windows 7 updates.

Here is the deal.I am installing windows 7 updates currently. And i see a bunch of

    .Net Framework 3.5.1

    And bunch of

    .Net Frame work 4.5

Are all these needed or is it just the latest one needed.

.Net Framework 3.5.1 (the latest version of this is 2/9/2018)
.Net Frame work 4.5 (the latest version of this is 5/12/2015)

Should i keeps these dates since they are the latest and hide the rest.

If you're using software that requires .NET Framework 3.5.1, install the update.

.NET Framework 4.5 was replaced by 4.5.1 > 4.5.2. The latter is the last version to support Windows 7.

The question was do i need the extra installs.

.Net Framework 3.5.1 there are like 8 or 9 copy's to install or do i need just one.Same with 4.5 Net frame work there are like 6 or 7 copy's.

    You need all.
This month's NET security only update, KB 4345679 that I downloaded from the catalog has 5 parts to it. (msipatch reg fix with no number, 4344173, 4344167, 4019990 and 4344177)

Three computers have .NET 3.5.1 and one computer has 4.5.1.
When I go to manually install each of the 5 parts, I get a notice either "this update is not applicable" or "do you want to install this update".

YES!!! I said YOU NEED ALL.
Certain programs use different versions of NET.

Windows 7 comes with Net 2 SP2, Net 3.0 SP2 and Net 3.5 which eventually got updated to 3.5 SP1. It also has security patches.

Type this in the run/search box
    Code:
    %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework
Open the folder that comes up and you will see all the versions of .NET on your computer.
