  1. Hello, first off here's my computer info...

    -Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) (build 7600)
    -HP Pavilion Desktop
    -2.50 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core
    -Kaspersky AV 2010
    -3062 MB Usable Memory

Next is I have been recently experiencing A Blue Screen Error more then once a day and here's the the technical info. that i gathered when i got the error message

    Technical Information:

    *** STOP: 0x0000001 (0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000001, 0xFFFFF880014F14B8)

    *** ndis.sys - Address FFFFF880014F14B8 base at FFFFF8800143000, Datestamp $a5bc184

Collecting Data from crash dump. . .
Initializing disk from crash dump. . .
Beginning dump of Physical Memory to disk: 100
    Physical Memory dump complete.

I'm not sure the meaning of that but so far i have been able to manually restart it and the blue screen doesn't come back on for awhile but after a little bit it returns, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this error the cause of memory overflow? I am not that experienced with the The Crash Dump tech. stuff so i figure you guys are more in depth with this computer tech. anyways thanx in advance greatly appreciated if you need any other info. let me know

    Hello,
ndis.sys relates to your NIC card and the possibility of a conflict with your anti-virus software. You could try to install the latest Ethernet drivers and if that does not solve the problem, you could uninstall the NDIS filter that Kasperksy uses.

  3. the Network Interface controller (NIC) if i disable the NIC will it stop the network connection from accessing the internet with other devices such as: PS3, LAPTOP, etc....

Also would it have anything to do with some programs that are running, because it seems to crash when i'm running utorrent and peerblock the most?

    Hello,
You do not want to disable the NIC. You want to either install a later driver to see if the problem is solved and if not, you will want to uninstall the Kaspersky NDIS filter driver as shown in the link. If you disable the NIC, you will lose internet if you are connected directly to it with an ethernet cable or if you are connected via a wireless connection. If your other devices are connected via their own wireless connection to a router, you would still be able to use them even though you disabled the NIC on your computer. I am not sure about the utorrent and peerblock programs. Maybe they have a conflict with the Kaspersky NDIS filter. If you disconnect from the internet, how many bluescreens do you get then?

  5. when i disconnect from the internet i get no blue screens but what if i tried changing the anti-virus to a different software would that make a difference with the NDIS filter?
