Windows 7 boots into setup

I was hoping that someone may be able to give me some advice on a Windows 7 startup issue.

When I start / restart my PC it will give the option of Windows Setup or Windows 7. The default is Windows Setup, which will automatically be chosen if I do not manage to select Windows 7 in time. Is it possible to make the normal Windows 7 boot be the automatic choice?

This is a bit odd. Could you by any chance have left a Windows 7 disk in the drive?

 

Take a look at the boot.ini file. I don't run Win7 but it probably also has msconfig. Run that from the run button and then check your boot.ini file. See if it is including another boot option in the menu dealing with Win7 setup. If it does, delete it. (Backing up the ini file first.) If you know what your doing, you can edit the boot.ini file with a text editor.

Thanks to all three of you for replying. I tried plodr's suggestion first and this has fixed the problem.

After doing the above, there is a drop down box in which to select the "Default operating system" as either Windows 7 or Windows Setup. I have now selected Windows 7 and this has solved my issue.
