I have been trying to install Windows 7 Codecs, either from File Hippo, Major Geeks and Cnet, but I keep getting a message that it is installed and will not let me install it. I cannot find Windows 7 Codecs anywhere on my computer, In File folders, I have show hidden folders unchecked. I have been to Program Files and it is not there; also have been to Program files x86 and it is not there. I have searched the registry and it is not there. It is not in Revo uninstaller nor in control panel, uninstall. Anyone know what might be going on? Thank you.

    Check Start>All Programs>Shark007 Codecs

Are you running the installer as Administrator? Right-click installer and choose Run as Administrator.

Thank you. That did it! It was just so weird that I kept getting messages that it was already installed. That has never happened before. Thanks again.:wave
